Rectangular Corten Steel Water Table
Description
The Rectangular Corten Steel Water Table combines contemporary design with the soothing sound of gently flowing water, creating a feature that is every bit as impressive to listen to as it is to look at. Water rises from a central fountain before cascading across the flat surface, producing a mirror-like effect that reflects the surrounding garden whilst introducing movement, light and tranquillity to the space.
Handmade to order near Birmingham by skilled fabricators, taking 4 weeks to delivery, each water table is crafted from heavy-duty Corten steel and supplied complete with an integrated pump and LED fountain light. The result is a striking garden feature that can be enjoyed both during the day and long into the evening.
One of the great advantages of Corten steel is its ability to develop a rich, rust-coloured patina over time. This natural weathered finish not only gives the water table its distinctive appearance but also forms a protective layer that helps shield the steel from further corrosion, making it exceptionally durable and low maintenance.
Whether positioned within a contemporary courtyard, formal garden or larger landscaping scheme, the Square Water Table creates an instant sense of calm and sophistication. The reflective surface adds depth and light to the garden, whilst the gentle sound of moving water helps soften background noise and create a more relaxing outdoor environment.

How Long To Go Rusty?
My Corten products are dispatched in a raw steel finish as standard.
It will take up to 12 months for the steel to develop its final rusted look & protective layer, but it could be as soon as 6 months if your garden's conditions are just right!
This process depends on factors such as weather, climate, your proximity to the coast (sea spray) etc...
Bespoke Sizes
None of the standard sizes suit your space? No problem.
The workshop are glad to offer a bespoke service where they can make any custom size you require.
Simply get in touch with your measurements and I'll get back to you with a quotation within 48 hours.
Once approved, there is a lead-time of 4 - 8 weeks on bespoke jobs from order > delivery.
Thickness
As standard, planters supplied in the Corten Range are made from a 2mm thick, structural-grade steel. Water features are generally upgraded to a thicker 3mm.
However, depending on your intended use - if you would like to order an item made from a thicker, more substantial steel (up to 6mm thick), then please get in touch and I can source a quotation.
I would suggest upgrading the thickness if you are:-
- Planting anything heavy
- Located in a windy spot
- Are near the coast
- Planning on using these in a commercial setting
A heavier grade planter will always last longer.
Maintenance & Notes
Maintenance
Corten steel requires no maintenance as the rusted patina it naturally forms acts as a protective barrier meaning there’s no need for painting or sealing. Depending on the environmental exposure, Corten steel’s lifespan can exceed 50 years thanks to its self-protecting rust layer, which is why it’s ideal for outdoor applications.
Notes
During the natural weathering process, your piece may produce ‘runoff’ that could cause staining on the surface below. This risk is particularly high during the first three to six months of the weathering process. Keep an eye out if these needs washing off a new patio.
Please note that, once production has started, the workshop may not be able to accommodate changes to an order.
Once you have received your planter or water feature, please unpack it straight away. Planters left palletised or packaged may develop an uneven patina if exposed to moisture or rain.
Warranty
5 year manufacturer's structural warranty.
What is Corten Steel?
Corten steel is highly durable and resistant to corrosion. It develops a unique rusty patina that enhances its look over time and this layer protects it further from changing weather conditions, making it ideal for outdoor structures.
