Each section measures a generous 2.4 metres long and is available in three heights: 100mm, 150mm and 250mm. At twice the thickness of our standard 3mm edging, its substantial construction provides additional strength and rigidity for large lawns, pathways, gravel areas, substantial borders and professional landscaping schemes.
The galvanised finish gives this heavyweight edging a completely different character to its Corten counterpart. The zinc coating protects the underlying steel against corrosion while creating a clean silver-grey finish that sits quietly alongside paving, gravel, natural stone and planting. It's an excellent choice where strength and longevity matter, but you don't necessarily want the edging itself to become a visual feature.
Installation
Installation remains wonderfully straightforward thanks to the clever Zip-Lock joining system. Welded steel rings at the ends of adjoining sections interlock before a supplied ground stake is driven through them, simultaneously pulling the lengths tightly together and anchoring them into the ground. There are no fiddly nuts or bolts, helping to create a beautifully clean finished run.
Additional securing points are positioned approximately every 500mm, with appropriately sized spikes included. The edging can be used for crisp straight runs as well as large sweeping curves and corners, giving landscape designers plenty of flexibility despite its substantial 6mm construction.
