Part of our Broxwood Collection, bringing together exceptional garden products made by skilled British workshops closer to home, this professional-grade garden edging is handmade from substantial 3mm certified Corten steel.
Each section measures a generous 2.4 metres long and is available in five different heights, from a discreet 75mm lawn edge through to a substantial 250mm border. The strength of the 3mm steel makes it equally at home in a private garden or a larger professional landscaping project.
Installation
One of the best features is the wonderfully simple ‘Zip-Lock’ joining system. Rather than connecting sections with visible nuts and bolts, welded steel rings at the ends of adjoining lengths interlock. A supplied steel stake is then driven through the rings, pulling the two pieces tightly together whilst simultaneously anchoring them into the ground. Additional securing points are positioned at approximately 500mm intervals, with the appropriate ground spikes included.
The result is a wonderfully clean, almost continuous run of steel. Use it to create crisp lawn edges, gravel paths, sweeping curves, defined borders or contemporary planting beds. Despite the substantial 3mm construction, the edging can be used for both straight runs and curves, giving plenty of freedom when designing a garden.
Like the Corten planters elsewhere in the Broxwood Collection, the steel naturally develops its characteristic orange, russet and deep brown patina as it's exposed to the elements. It works particularly beautifully against gravel, natural stone, timber and green planting, becoming more characterful as it weathers.
Each length measures 2.4 metres, with a minimum order of 9.6 linear metres (4 lengths). Further edging can then be ordered in multiples of 2.4 metres. For maximum stability, we recommend installing approximately one third of the edging below ground level.
