Large hand thrown Beehives from Crete. One of the most desired terracotta pots in Britain. 6 available at the time of posting Saturday morning.

Notes........ There are a number in stock. Due to the many rows of crisp ribs adorning each vase, these are easily chipped whilst they're making their way from Crete > Herefordshire. After spending the past few years speaking with many clients who have owned these pots for longer than I have been alive, chips on the ribs appear to have no impact on the structural integrity of the pot. They just look unsightly. The best thing is, angle your pot right to reduce the more visible marks in view. 

These small chips (in many cases, smaller than a finger nail) can be smoothed out with sandpaper or just left. Due to keeping admin simple, these will be randomly sold from what's available though if pairs are purchased then I'll do my part to make a good match for you.

Efforts have been made to show damages though unless a formal condition report has been issued, small fleabites, hidden small chips or minute firing cracks may be missed.

If your pot has a crack, think of a way to keep wet soil from resting against the area of damage. This could be through using crocks or gravel to free the area from being in contact with damp soil over a Winter's frost.

All pots are listed with the major issues noted. However, there may be defects not listed.

If you require a full condition report - please don't hesitate to ask and I will forward on a more precise report on the pot in question. This is never a problem though it may take a day or two to arrive around other work commitments.
