This Sunday will mark the end of another year for many independent growers around the area - for it is the last main Plant Fair of 2024. There would be no better venue to host this goodbye to a prosperous year of shows than Herefordshire's very own Hergest Croft Gardens. Holding the National Collection of Maples and Birches, expect picturesque autumnal colours in sheer abundance.

Hergest Croft Gardens extend over 28 ha (70 acres) with more than five thousand rare trees and shrubs. Described as "one of the finest collections of trees and shrubs in the British Isles", the Gardens hold the UK National Collections of Maples, Birches and Zelkovas. The six distinct areas are Hergest Croft, the Azalea Garden, the Maple Grove, the Kitchen Garden, the Park and Park Wood.
The dazzling autumn colour of the collections of maples and birches is breath-taking. Red, yellow, purple and gold leaves glisten throughout the Azalea Garden, Maple Grove and Park Wood. The trees in the Park have glowing autumn colours. Many of these species are the only ones growing in the UK!

The annual Autumn Plant Fair; Over 40 Exhibitors including rare and unusual plants, trees and shrubs together with Crafts and food stalls. Make a day of it and bring the family!
