Going back a good few weeks, a friend gave me a nudge that I should enter this years Herefordshire Business Awards before the applications close.
So I filled in the paperwork, answered a few in-depth questions about my business and my strategy... then quite simply forgot about it all!
This was until last Friday when I received a very unexpected phone call...
I am so pleased to say that Tom's Yard made the cut and is now one of three finalists for Retailer of The Year in Herefordshire!
Having been brought up in a retail business in the county, these annual celebrations are something that I have been aware of since my Father won an award back in 2007. I once remember looking at his framed certificate and thinking how I'd love to one day have my own.
I'm so excited for the black-tie dinner at the end of October. Fingers crossed I can return home with some amazing news for you all!
I always say this and I hope it doesn't loose sincerity but thank you so much for continuing to support my business.
