A small, upright, oval headed, spreading tree with pinnate leaves that turn purple and orange-red in autumn. White flowers appear in spring, followed by heavy, dense clusters of deep rose pink berries later in the year. Great Autumn colour.
Received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.
Grow in moderately fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil in full sun or light shade. Hardy and tolerant of urban pollution and coastal conditions.
