Prunus ‘Royal Burgundy’
Description
A vase shaped garden tree, impressive for its contrasting rich burgundy leaves and deep rose pink double flowers. The leaves also turn a spectacular scarlet red in autumn.
Received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.
Best grown in well-drained soil, in full sun to achieve the best autumn colour. Will tolerate most soil types including chalk, and clay. Benefits from good drainage.
