Prunus ‘Beni-yutaka’
Description
A medium sized, umbrella shaped, deciduous tree producing semi-double, disc shaped flowers in a unique sugar pink colour with a distinctive dark central eye in mid-late April. The green foliage turns rich red-crimson in autumn.
Received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.
Best grown in well-drained soil, in full sun to achieve the best autumn colour. Will tolerate most soil types including chalk, and clay. Benefits from good drainage.
