Yesterday I visited Herefordshire Growing Point to donate (no surprise!) some pots!
-
Part of a fabulous facility up in Credenhill, the purpose of the charity is to help people with injuries or challenges to benefit from the therapeutic practice of gardening and to remain active outdoors. Like many small charities, they rely entirely on grants & donations to continue providing their services... something they've been doing now since before I was born!
-
I only recently discovered the charity through their Honouree President and friend of the Yard, Tamsin, and once I followed what they achieved I knew there had to be a way Tom's Yard could help out.
-
Whilst this gesture unfortunately wasn't in the form of a big cheque with 0's at the end, hopefully the 12 terracotta pots will be a welcome upgrade from the plastic pots they are used to using.
-
We all have a role to play in our local communities and I'm very proud that I'm able to do my bits here and there through Tom's Yard or my personal role as a member in Hereford Round Table.
