The components are then formed and welded together by skilled fabricators, combining \u003cstrong\u003eprecision engineering with traditional hand-finishing\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eImportantly, this isn't simply a process of putting steel through a machine. Each planter is \u003cstrong\u003eassessed and finished by eye\u003c\/strong\u003e, ensuring the shape, welds and overall appearance meet the workshop's standards. The result is a substantial piece of British metalwork with the small variations and character you'd expect from something individually made rather than mass-produced.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWeathering steel is exceptionally well suited to permanent outdoor use. Supplied initially in its \u003cstrong\u003eunweathered state\u003c\/strong\u003e, exposure to rain and the elements gradually transforms the surface, creating the familiar warm orange-brown patina.
